Property Tax Bills

Property tax bills are mailed on or before November 1. Please contact the Tax Collector’s office if you do not receive your bill. Assessed values are determined by the Assessor. The assessor also determines the legal assessee. The Board of Supervisors determines the tax rate under State of California property tax laws.

Due Dates & Penalties

The first installment of taxes is due and payable on November 1 and becomes delinquent if not paid in the office or postmarked by 5:00 pm on December 10. A 10% penalty is added for payments received after this date.

The second installment is due February 1 and becomes delinquent if it is not paid in the office or postmarked by 5:00 pm on April 10. A 10% penalty and a $20 cost are added for payments received after this date.

Please note: Both installments may be paid together. The second cannot be paid until the first has been paid. If the due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the hour of delinquency is 5:00 pm on the next business day.

Payments may be made in the office between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. Payments may also be mailed to:
