Adult Protective Services
Adult Protective Services provides direct intervention, remedial and case management services, and other types of support to dependent and elderly adults who are at risk of or victims of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or fiduciary abuse.
In-Home Supportive Services
In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) will help pay for services provided to you so that you can remain safely in your own home. To be eligible, you must be over 65 years of age, disabled, or blind. Disabled children are also eligible for IHSS. IHSS is considered an alternative to out-of-home care such as nursing homes or board and care facilities.
Public Guardian
Public guardians assist elderly, mentally disabled, and developmentally disabled adults who are unable to care for themselves. Public guardians make decisions for these adults but recognize their right to self-determination, and honor, when known, the wishes of the individual.
