What can the county do about this?: Contact the Code Enforcement Department at (530) 283-7002, file a formal complaint, and the department will contact the financial institution that holds title to the property.

2. How many non-operational vehicles can I have on my property?: You may have one non-operational vehicle on your property. It must either be a DMV-registered, non-operational vehicle or an unregistered inoperable vehicle. An exception to this would be a specially constructed vehicle as listed in the California Vehicle Code Section 580.

3. My neighbor’s yard if full of junk and / or junk vehicles but the county has not done anything about them. What is up?: Code enforcement in Plumas County is complaint-driven, and complaints cannot be anonymous. You must file a formal complaint that requires your name, telephone number, and address. Your name is kept confidential unless released by a court order.
