Office of Emergency Services


The Office of Emergency Services is the emergency management agency for Plumas County. We coordinate the planning for, response to, and recovery from natural and human-caused disasters.

The vision of a safe and resilient Plumas County depends on effective leadership and meaningful partnerships. In these ways, the Office of Emergency Services strives to protect lives, minimize property damage, and assists individuals and communities more quickly recover from the effects of a disaster. 

This one-hour presentation on July 7, 2020, about "Ready, Set, Go!" gives Plumas County residents information on what they need to do now that we are in fire season.  Speakers from the Plumas County Office of Emergency Services, Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, Plumas County Board of Supervisor Kevin Goss, US Forest Service - Plumas National Forest, CALFIRE, Quincy Fire Protection District, and the Plumas Fire Safe Council share the 2020 Fire Season outlook, how to prepare your home and community for wildfire, how to create your Family Evacuation Plan and resources available from the Plumas Fire Safe Council.
