COVID-19

The Plumas County Probation Department is taking precautionary measures to protect the safety and well-being of our clients, staff and the community.  The Probation Department is working closely with the County Administrator, Board of Supervisors, Public Safety Partners and In-House Healthcare Providers to make decisions informed by the latest science-based information.   At this time, the Probation Department is asking that clients with appointments adhere to the following guidelines before entering the building:

          1.  Self-Assessment - A self assessed health screening is recommended.  If you have a fever, cough and/or shortness of breath, please contact our office immediately by calling our front desk at 530-283-6200 or by calling your probation officer directly.  A probation employee will direct you on how to proceed.

          2.  Lobby - Until further notice, the Probation Department is limiting the number of people in our lobby to three people.  If you arrive for your appointment and there are already three people present in the lobby, please sign in and wait in your vehicle until a spot opens.  When one person leaves, the next person in line may enter.

          3.  Family & Friends - For the safety and well-being of your family and friends, we ask that they stay at home when you come for a visit or an appointment. If you are accompanied by another person, we ask that they wait in the vehicle.  *Of course, children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.  If you need to bring your children, please let our office know.  It is important to plan ahead.

The health, well-being and safety of people in this community is our primary mission.  With everyone's cooperation, we know we can succeed in keeping the community safe.  For more information regarding COVID-19, please visit https://www.plumascounty.us/2839/COVID-19-Home  and https://www.fbi.gov/coronavirus
