Last Day for Receiving Green Waste at the Chester Landfill

The Plumas County Department of Public Works - Solid Waste Division announces that the Chester Landfill will be closing for the winter season.

The last day for receiving green waste at the Chester Landfill will be:

Saturday, November 4, 2017

Green waste receiving at the Chester Landfill will re-open in the spring of 2018.




Quincy

Woody Green Waste AND Non-Woody Green Waste (Reduced Green Waste Rate)

Location:  Quincy Solid Waste Transfer Station

Hours: Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed for lunch 12:00-12:30 PM) 


Chester

Woody Green Waste AND Non-Woody Green Waste (Reduced Green Waste Rate)

Location:  
Chester Transfer Station

Hours: 
Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed for lunch 12:00-12:30 PM)



Examples of non-woody green waste are grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, pine cones and weeds.

Examples of woody green waste are trees, limbs and branches.
